what the hell
what the hell. why did you mess with my user page? Newbman 11:18, 1 October 2006 (PDT)
- And don't mess with it again, you don't know who you are dealing with here, this wiki is so small I could obiterate it in less than an hour. Newbman 11:23, 1 October 2006 (PDT)
- Perma-ban eh? Sucks for you that I am the 3pwv (3 page wiki vandal) and am physically immune to being perma-banned. Newbmans 11:23, 3 October 2006 (PDT)
Vandal Banning
May I have a list of all the users, not ips, that have been banned for Vandalizing? I have started a page that explains it Here I will maintain it I just need the list, thank you.
- um, he cant get the ips, hes using old wiki softwear. Achoo 19:09, 9 October 2006 (PDT)
Changed Template
No problem on changing the template. Just one question, what did you change? When I compare the two revisions I can't really tell what was changed. I'm kinda new to using wiki's. I just wanted to know so I will know what not to do in the future. Thanks, Spastic Colon
Thanks for the quick answer. One more question. Would you care if I used your map code on my fire teams page? I figured I should ask since you made it for a specific group. Thanks again, Spastic Colon 05:48, 29 November 2006 (PST)
- I thank you again. Spastic Colon 20:26, 29 November 2006 (PST)
Templates
Sloop, Is there any way you could add a link on the main page leading to the user template section? In the information section, maybe? Most people probably don't even know the page is there, and I thought some sort of info about the templates would help get people to use them more. Thanks, Spastic Colon 00:44, 15 January 2007 (PST)
Me again
Sloop, One quick question: Why don't the size commands work in image tags? (ie:thumb, thumbnail, 100px, etc) What can I do to shrink image size without having to upload a separate smaller version of the image? That was two questions, sorry. :) Thanks, Spastic Colon 21:52, 27 January 2007 (PST)
Thanks for the quick reply. I'll keep looking. Let me know if you find out first. Spastic ColonDS Talk "P'mont Pubs" 22:52, 27 January 2007 (PST)
Templates and images
I am trying to figure out how to set up some of the DIY templates from other wiki's. I am asking for a little patience with me while I tweak them and figure out how to make some of these work. I promise I will fix all the broken ones, or I will ask you to delete them if I can't. My other problem is uploading PNG's. Every one that I try to upload returns me the "corrupt file" error. Will the server not allow PNG's to be uploaded? Thanks Sloop. Spastic ColonDS Talk "P'mont Pubs" 11:18, 28 January 2007 (PST)
Thank you for the speedy deletions of my many failures today. :) Everything that is left should be fully functional now. I hope you don't mind, I added a few special catorgies today. The firefox category is is superfluous I know. If you want it gone I will completely understand. It's not considered vandalism if I add the category:user tag to user pages from time to time is it? I hope if I do that, it will start to catch on when others make a page. Thanks again man, Spastic ColonDS Talk "P'mont Pubs" 23:33, 28 January 2007 (PST)
I know about the user list. With the category tag we can have a page with only users who have some sort of user page. Call me nosey, I like to surf user pages and see a little bit of how some of my fellow mercs think. I will be adding the category:user tag to user pages piecemeal. I won't dedicate a day to add it to everyone at once. I may be able to though, we don't have very many user pages with actual merc related stuff. I hope by adding neat templates and little bells and whistles more people will make user pages. I would love to see our wiki blow up with users creating...just creating. Thanks again, couldn't do anything without your help. Spastic ColonDS Talk "P'mont Pubs" 23:57, 28 January 2007 (PST)
I know you're getting sick of me by now. lol.
It's me again sloop. I have started adding borders around the members of my fireteam because their user images were overlapping at higher monitor resolutions. In Firefox the tables look sweet as hell. In IE they are showing up left to right instead of one on top of the other. My question to you, oh wiki guru, is how can I get the tables to stack in IE like they do in Firefox? As you can already tell, I'm still a newbie at this stuff, and all I try just makes the situation worse. Help me Obi Wan Sloop, you're my only hope. lol. If you can help me, will you talk me through it, instead of fixing it yourself? Spastic ColonDS Talk "P'mont Pubs" 22:07, 2 February 2007 (PST)
Thanks man, that did the trick. Now all the IE users can see the page too. We should pity them all for using IE. Spastic ColonDS Talk "P'mont Pubs" 07:57, 3 February 2007 (PST)
