The Outbreak Olympics Sequel
After the first Outbreak Olympics, Jess*Izzle, the captain of The Demonslayers fireteam offered to host the next one. This allowed many of the organisers of the first one to participate in this one. The 2nd Outbreak Olympics began on the 22nd of June, 2009.
The Brain Trust
The majority of the events in this years olympics were conjured up by Jess*Izzle and members of her Demonslayer team. The final event line-up was announced on the 19th of June. Unlike the first olympics in which four mercs all played a big role in the running of the event, this time around Jess has handled most of the workload herself.
Organisers and Judges
Event 1 will be judged by Jess*Izzle, Gridflay.
Event 2 will be judged by Jess*Izzle, Gridflay.
Event 3 will be judged by Jess*Izzle, Gridflay.
Event 4 will be judged by Jess*Izzle, Gridflay and Jack Straw.
Event 5 will be judged by Jess*Izzle, Gridflay.
A few outbreak veterans will be assisting as referees, wandering the cities keeping a eye on proceedings. Also Fablehearts, Shinn and Sloop have all offered to help officate any events they can.
There have been multiple sponsors of the event. The prizes have been donated by:
265,000 Credits by Jess*Izzle
200,000 Credits by Gurlgoinghost
100,000 Credits & Thermal Imaging Scanner by Deville Rule
100,000 Credits by Jack Straw
35,000 Credits & 2 Adrenaline Serums by Fablehearts
Meaning that the OB community donated 700,000 Credits, plus items which value easily put the prize fund at over 1 Million Creds!
In addition to the donation from the mercs of OB, Nathan himself has donated the unique prizes of Four Heavy Machineguns & Two Flamethrowers!!!
Start Date
Monday 22nd June - Friday 26th June.
Events will be one per day with Event One on monday, Event Two on tuesday and so on...

Event One - The Mancubus Fistfight
Who's idea? TBW
Mancubus Fistfight Rules
Confined to HELL'S GATE CITY. Dual fists allowed. You have one hour to kill as many Mancubi you can with only your bare hands. Post a screenshot of merc stats on the forum when you begin and another again when your hour is up. Anyone caught killing demons other than Mancubi will be disqualified (unless it's a situation such as a grunt is killed by an overclick, in which case a judge must be notified before/when you post your final screenshot).
Just a note: There will be no redos because of lag. You start, play, and then stop. Additionally, there will be no stopping after half an hour and then playing for another half an hour later. You have one hour to kill mancs, and that's all. =)

Event Two - Mental Medics

Mental Medics Rules
Find, revive, and heal dead mercs after bringing them to safety (several checkpoints will be set up by the judges for the dead mercs to be brought to). Anyone found reviving mercs outside just to let them die again will be disqualified. One hour limit; post screenshot of merc stats at the beginning of your hour and again after your hour is up.

Event Three - Olympic Cading
Barricade the row assigned to you to almost completely secured. Radio in to the judge for your row assignment, barricade, and then radio in again when you complete your row for your next row assignment.
Olympic Cading Rules
-We will begin in Piedmont City (if the interest is large enough, after all 30 rows of Piedmont are barricaded, we will move to HGC).
-You will say on RADIO CHANNEL 18 that you want a row to barricade. I will assign you one. DO NOT BARRICADE ANY OTHER ROWS OTHER THAN THE ONE I GIVE YOU. Rows are barricaded LEFT TO RIGHT or RIGHT TO LEFT, not up and down.
-Barricade each building in that row to almost completely secure. After you finish, let me know and I will assign you another.
In order to participate in this event you need (obviously) a radio and the skill "Advanced Urban Fortification".

Event Four - The Backstory Writing
Write a backstory for your merc in Outbreak and post it here on the forum to be judged by myself and the other judge(s). The two things you will be judged on will be how interesting your backstory is and how well you write. Both will be worth 15 points each for a total of 30 points. The scores will be added together and whoever has the highest score afterward will win the event. This event is something you can begin working on whenever but MUST be posted by the end of the day of the event.

Event Five - Hells Gate Slaughter
Hell's Gate Slaughter - All-out killing spree in Hell's Gate. All-day event. Post a screenshot of merc stats here at the time you are beginning and another when you are done for the day. Total demon kills will be tallied. Extra points will be rewarded for killing Revenants and Archiviles (SCREENSHOTS REQUIRED).
-Due to the recent increase in Revenants and Archviles roaming around HGC, the points will not be anything huge (the exact amount has yet to be determined, but figure something between 5-10 points for each).
Hells Gate Slaughter Rules
This event is a 24-hour event, beginning at 12:00AM EDT and runs until 11:59PM EDT. You must post a screenshot showing your merc stats when you BEGIN and again when you END for the day. You are allowed to stop playing at any point and begin again later as long as you only kill demons in HGC. Anyone caught killing demons in Piedmont will be disqualified. If claiming kills of Revenants, Archviles, or Pain Elementals, screenshots must be posted.
Revenants are worth 5 points. Archviles are worth 10. Pain Elementals are worth 20.
