Sewers

The sewers are an integral part of each city's sanitation system. After the demon outbreak, the tunnel pumps and control systems pretty much quit all together. This resulted in some tunnels being flooded with waste, and some even collapsed after high sewage levels and structural stress from the battles above ground proved too much. As such, the sewers under Piedmont have become infested with demons. The dark, dank environment seems to be the perfect mix for the ghouls to thrive, and they are encountered there in staggering numbers. Gatekeepers have also been noted in the depths, building and maintaining portals for their kin, though it is doubtful that Gatekeepers actually call the sewers "home". One species of demon that does seem to exist solely in the sewers (at least for now) is the Spectre. Little is known of this demon type, exept that they are quite hardy, and use a type of toxin in their attacks. More information will be provided as it becomes available.

The sewers under Piedmont have been explored extensively. Marcus Cole of the Piedmont Pararescue fireteam has provided a simple map for other mercs to use at their discretion. Due to the unstable nature of some of the tunnels, the layout might still be somewhat subject to change.
