Two years ago, scientists working for a research company with a government grant to develop teleportation technology were killed in a freak accident when their laboratory supposedly caught fire. While the early circumstances of the outbreak are unknown, it is believed that over three hundred people were lost in the first days after the event. The situation was eventually contained by the military, but only after massive casualties and the destruction of over an entire city block.
Now the media blackout has crumbled, and all semblance of control and order have disappeared. Anarchy and terror have gripped the downtown streets of the city, as thousands of indescribably vile creatures pour from teleporters throughout the city. Slaughtering anything that moves and then feasting on the flesh of the dead, these demons have so far crushed every attempt at resistance.
The streets are awash with blood, and only a complete fool would dare venture into the city. Nonetheless, if you think you've got what it takes to fight the demonic invasion, then the company would like to hire you as a mercenary to go into the city and assist the thousands of mercenaries who are already on the ground.
